On the runway and in the front row, fur was everywhere at this year’s New York Fashion Week. We love seeing the fun and exciting ways our favorite designers incorporate fur into their collections — from Marc Jacobs to Carolina Herrera, Zac Posen and Michael Kors to Helen Yarmak and Kanye West. Let’s dive into some of our favorite fur fashion Fall/Winter 2016 looks.
Pretty in Pink. When it comes to color, go bold or go home! Bright hues ruled the runways this year, just in time for warmer weather. We’re obsessed with these pink coats from J.Crew (left) and Libertine (middle). Get the look with this Michael Kors designed Geranium Pink Pullover, perfect for the crisp spring months ahead. Pair it with light denim for the ultimate spring look or go classic over a LBD – Little Black Dress. (photo: stylecaster.com)
Make Way for Gaga. One of the biggest names in music, television, and fashion dominated the runway this year. Even better, she dominated in fur! Queen of pop, Lady Gaga, closed Marc Jacobs’ show wrapped in gorgeous black fur sleeves. The entire show featured models covered head to toe in black with dark makeup and finger-wave 1920s hairstyles. The dramatically beautiful show featured the ultimate in high-fashion style. Shout out to Shearling. This classic look seemed to be everywhere during NYFW, and we love the new take. Models were shown wearing shearling over black, stripes, and even bright pink! Shearling’s popularity comes from its versatile look, offering both oversized fur accents and slim sueded materials for sleek styling. So perfectly practical and FUN! Get the look: Wear this Dominic Bellissimo designed Toffee Toscana Shearling Walking Coat into spring with your favorite slacks or paired with a pencil skirt. This gorgeous soft and supple shearling coat is perfect for fall into spring wear. (photos: stylcaster.com)
Nuts Over Nails. The latest fur trend is now at our fingertips! Models at the Libertine fashion show rocked furry nails on the runway. It’s a bit out there, but you have to love the creativity. What do you think about the latest beauty trend? Yeah or nay?
