The best of men's jackets
Most of our clients come in looking for a woman's luxurious fur or fine outerwear garment – designer mink coats, colorful sheared mink or sheared beaver, stylish shearlings, or perhaps a client is looking for glamorous accessories - a sparkly evening clutch, a mink hat, or a knit fur scarf or some other girly go-to’s. And while we love dressing the ladies, we also carry a large selection of men’s leather, cashmere and skiwear jackets. Some guys are looking to ramp up their style game, others just want something timeless and no-nonsense that will keep them warm. So whether your eye is on something casual or dressy, classic or trendy, here are a few of our favorite men’s outerwear pieces!
Men's Leather Jackets:
A high quality leather jacket, car coat, blazer or vest should be a staple in every guy’s wardrobe. Versatile styling and durable materials will make a leather jacket a wardrobe favorite for years and years. Opt for classic black, or a shade of brown or grey – each of these are safe and should match anything in your wardrobe. For something more formal, maybe to wear out for a nice dinner, we love this leather blazer on the left. The look is tailored and sophisticated. On the right, this brown leather vest is great for layering over flannel and other heavy shirts or sweaters. The look is perfect for the active outdoorsman! If you do spend a lot of time outdoors or have a walking commute, be sure to add an Ultraguard protective coating on your leather to keep it looking great through any weather.
Shearling Car Coats:
We say "shearling" while you may say "sheepskin" - whichever interchangeable descriptive is used, it's all about the perfect garment for every day use. Shearling is a sheepskin pelt with a soft leather or suede finish on the outside and the evenly sheared sheep fur on the inside. Shearling garments may be trimmed with curly lamb, Toscana lamb, fox, mink or coyote. A quality shearling garment provides stylish warmth, long term durability and a comfortable fit - no more Marlboro Man super thick shearlings. This shearling lamb car coat on the left will provide the warmth of a full-blown winter jacket finessed with the style and and fit of a leather jacket with a textured finish on the outside. Another great shearling piece is this black lamb leather car coat with detachable shearling lamb collar and liner. It's a great style to wear throughout early fall and into the late spring with the mere zip-in or out of the shearling liner and trim.
Cashmere and Wool:
Both of these Bellissimo designed cashmere coats are great for work or weekend wear. We love that they're formal without seeming stuffy and both look nice paired with a suit and tie or tossed on over a sweater and jeans. Accessorize with a printed chenille scarf to change the overall look. As for color, black is obviously more common and will work with any pant color. A camel cashmere will give you another neutral to work with and pairs great with dark jeans. Assess what you have in your current coat closet, and make your decision from there.
