Dominic Bellissimo is an artist using leathers and shearlings as his palette. Bellissimo's impeccable attention to detail and eye for stylish outerwear has placed him on the radar of chic women and fashion critics from around the globe. Born in Toronto, Bellissimo entered the fashion world immediately after graduating from college in 1981. From his first outerwear collection to his current line, focus has and continues to be on high quality, elegant garments. This formula has provided Bellissimo with lots of fashion attention! His work has been featured in some of the most renowned fashion magazines including the Robb Report, Vogue, Elle, and Harper’s Bazaar – and a long list of celebrities have fallen in love with his work including Richard Gere, Jeremy Irons, Queen Latifah, Catherine-Zeta Jones, Renee Zellweger and Neve Campbell. Bellissimo's signature is his meticulous craftsmanship and his talent for working with shearling. He lets luxe materials – Italian or Spanish shearling lamb, Loro Piana cashmere, Italian lamb leather, etc. – act as the backdrop for details such as embroidery and eye popping hardware.
