Let the Fashion Shows Begin!
September 28: Easter Seals DuPage and the Fox Valley Region Luncheon and Fashion Show
On September 28, we were so fortunate to be a part of the 33rd Annual Luncheon and Fashion Show for Easter Seals DuPage and the Fox Valley Region. Easter Seals DuPage helps kids and adults with disabilities gain independence. Fashions with Flair, a fashion show production company, produced the show, which was held at The Drury Lane Theater and Conference Center. The event included a social hour, luncheon, children’s fashion show, adult fashion show, art auction (with pieces created by the children of East Seals) and a raffle. October 3: Stars and Cars Fundraiser to Benefit The Northern Illinois Food Bank and Kids Feeding Kids
Fifth Third Bank presented the inaugural Stars and Cars Fundraiser on October 3 at Lake Forest Sports Cars, and a fabulous time was had by all. Proceeds benefited two great causes. Brian McCaskey of the Chicago Bears, and Alyssa Pazdan, Founder of Kids Feeding Kids Club, acted as event chairs to show their support for the fight against hunger. Event committee members modeled fur from the York Furrier 82nd Anniversary Collection. Chef Jaime Laurita served as event MC and auctioneer. York Furrier donated a fur trimmed Italian designed shearling lamb walking coat for the live auction and a Micheal Kors designed “Bears Orange” box trooper hat for the silent auction. October 10: “Diamonds & Denim” the 2013 Sun Times Fall Trend Fashion Event
It’s always fun to team up with a big Chicago name like the Sun Times. The second annual Fall Trend Fashion Event was a fantastic way to show off some of our fabulous furs, just in time for the cooler weather. Held at Pinstripes in Northbrook, local boutiques and bigger retailers alike got to flaunt their new arrivals for a great cause. A portion of the proceeds went to Dress for Success, The Vision for Tomorrow Foundation and North Suburban YMCA. From the York Furrier 82nd Anniversary Collection, Dominic Bellissimo designed tangerine superfine wool walking coat and Finnish raccoon trimmed parka, accessorized with a chenille scarf, mahogany mink headband and a matching mink/leather hobo bag and a rebel leather mini cross-body bag. Tracey Tarantino of ZZAZZ Productions commentated the runway show. A model shows off the Toscana shearling Coat.
