Take a MODern Look at 1970's Fur Trends
We've always loved 1970's era fashion. And we often turn to the luxurious and outrageous (in a good way!) trends for inspiration. The era featured glam garments worn by models, actresses and all the women (corporate ladder climbers, real housewives, and collegiate chic seekers) embracing fur as they focused on their style voice. Nothing was ever too over the top. We thought it would be fun to revisit some of the decade’s most iconic looks and modernize them for 2016.
Cute & Cropped. No one dominated the 1970s socialite scene like Bianca Jagger. The face of fame and luxury, she shines in this gorgeous cropped white fox jacket with voluminous sleeves. She wears it over an evening gown, but it's oh so easy to dress down this look. Pair this natural pearl mink jacket with dark denim for an easy on the go look. (photo: pinterest.com) Black & White. A nice black and white combo will forever be timeless. For a modernized look, pictured is the York Signature Style natural black velvet chinchilla hooded evening jacket. Envelop yourself in the gorgeous hood for a dramatic look!
Dramatic in Fox. Debbie Harry set trends with her sassy, cutting edge style. Rock the famous singer’s look in this Michael Kors designed cross fox jacket with matching fox headband. Pair with denim or dressed up for a day into evening look. (Photo: nycstylist.com) In the SPOTlight. We adore a bold animal print! It's been a style staple for women for decades - meaning it's become a classic! And for good reason - it always brings a wow factor. This Zac Posen designed stenciled chevre jacket is the perfect modern take on the trend.
