York Furrier: Fall Fashion, Philanthropy & FUNdraising

This Fall Season, York Furrier had a presence at events in Chicago, the North Shore, Lake County, the Western Suburbs, and in the Elmhurst City Centre store location. The York Furrier 87^th Anniversary Collection (of furs, fine outerwear and accessories was showcased on charity event runways, helping to fund raise during live and silent auctions, as raffle items, as well as lending support to local philanthropies via in-store events. Here’s a small sampling of the charitable organizations that York Furrier recently supported.

St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church in Palatine, held their annual fall fashion show fund raiser at Concorde Banquets on Rand Road in Kildeer. This year’s theme, “Glitz, Glamour & Gold” was a room filling success. The ZZAZZ Productions runway show featured a segment of furs, outerwear and accessories from York Furrier, Inc. Highlights included: a trio of colorful mink jackets, fox trimmed shearlings, Italian designed outerwear styles, plus, model and singer, Anthony Rago donning a men’s red fox zip jacket!

The Hoffman Estates chapter of The Links, Inc. hosted a fashionable fund raiser, “Jazzin’ & Steppin’ into Fashion” at The Drake Oak Brook. The York Furrier segment of the ZZAZZ Productions Chicago Designer runway show featured organizational models: Diane Latta, Michelle Williams and three generations of the Payton Family – Connie, Brittney and little Blair.

NBC5 Chicago Sportscaster, Peggy Kusinski and York Furrier hosted an in-store fashionable fund raiser to benefit Girls in the Game on Thursday, October 18th. Over 80 guests enjoyed taste treats provided by Elmhurst based Marco’s Table and Events; sipped champagne and wine from Tannins Wine Bar; viewed the York Collection modeled by Deanna, Tanya and Ramona; and purchased raffle tickets for an array of grand and regular packages including: a York Furrier shopping spree, United Airlines tickets, a Teen Driving experience at The Autobahn Country Club, a pendant from Cottage Hill Diamonds, Bulls Tickets, Broadway in Chicago Theatre Tickets, an Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra package, and so much more! Kudos to Meghan Morgan and Dawn Kobel from Girls in the Game, DJ Scott Detrick of Sound Differential, Clef Notes Chicagoland Journal for the Arts, Mike Santoro from Thomas Coffee, and a special shout-out to Jason Kinander (Peggy’s hubby) for sharing their wedding anniversary evening AND a raffle basket of really great wine with us! As guests departed, they received a packed York Furrier Swag Bag with a YF Fox Fur Key Chain/Purse Charm, Thank You Cards from Girls in the Game participants, a box of fudge from Kilwins Elmhurst, magazines, gift cards from Elmhurst City Centre businesses, and, of course, York Peppermint Patties. The evening generated over $7500 to support the Girls in the Game programs.
