Elmhurst and Deer Park York Furrier Anniversary Events: Celebrating Decades of Fabulous Fur

December 17, 2014

They say time flies when you’re having fun, and we couldn’t agree more!

In November, we hosted events celebrating the 83rd anniversary of our Elmhurst City Centre store and the 10th anniversary of our Deer Park Town Center store. Festivities at both locations benefited The Alzheimer’s Association’s Greater Illinois Chapter.

We got the party started at our Deer Park location November 5, then followed up November 19 in Elmhurst. Guests enjoyed delicious hors d’ouevres and a decadent dessert buffet from Simply Delicious Gourmet Catering (Palatine) for the Deer Park party and from Cafe Amano (Elmhurst) for the York Street store party.  Service included champagne and wine while guests mingled and tried on furs and fine outerwear from the York Collection. Raffle prizes included a $1000 York Furrier shopping spree; Blackhawks, White Sox, Chicago Cubs and theater tickets; a day of pampering at Arch Apothecary in Old Town and Rockford, restaurant gift certificates, and so much more. Plus, every guest took home an amazing swag bag filled with York Peppermint Patties, Miss Dottie’s Pound Cake, and the latest edition of local magazines!

The step-and-repeat photography wall is always an event favorite, and party goers adored taking selfies while adorned in this season’s latest fashions from Michael Kors, Carolina Herrera, Zac Posen, Badgley Mischka and Zuki – to name drop just a few of the designers that York Furrier carries.

Our friends from Quintessential Barrington, West Suburban Living Magazine, Make it Better, and Chicago Magazine stopped by, and representatives from the Alzheimer’s Association welcomed guests at the door. Below are a few highlights from both celebrations. Check out even more pics on our Facebook page.

Don’t forget to mention the Alzheimer’s Association when making a purchase at York Furrier now through December 20, and we’ll make an additional donation to support the organization. Help the Alzheimer’s Association work toward their vision of a world without Alzheimer’s.
