Zac Posen

New York designer Zac Posen began his fashion career in earnest at a young age. While in high school he interned with fashion designer Nicole Miller and attended a pre-college program at Parsons. After continuing his fashion design studies in London, Posen began creating his own womenswear line in his parent’s living room.

In 2001 he presented his collection at GenArt’s Fresh Faces in Fashion New York runway show for which he won a $20,000 grant – allowing him to open his own Tribeca design studio.

In 2004 at the annual CFDA event, the twenty four years old Posen was presented with Swarovski’s Perry Ellis Award for Womenswear.

Though courted by several overseas luxury brands (Dior, Versace, Gucci and LVMH Fashion Group) Posen opted for energizing his own namesake luxury brand which includes:  luxe furs, gowns, daywear, handbags, bridal, eyewear, footwear, and jewelry. His gorgeous gowns, created from the finest fabrics using couture techniques, are regularly spotted on Hollywood and Music industry starlets – Uma Thurman, Claire Danes, Naomi Watts, Rihanna; and Society darlings on both coasts.

Wherever there’s a red carpet, you’re sure to spot one of Posen’s feminine frocks or fabulous furs. In addition to design duties, in January 2013, Posen replaced Michael Kors as a Project Runway judge with Heidi Klum and Nina Garcia. With his calm, thoughtful demeanor, Posen encourages the design contestants to competently create garments that will truly be enjoyed by both the wearer and the observer.

We’re sure you will love wearing Posen’s newest fur designs – vests to walking coats – created from mink, sheared mink or colorful fox.
